Basics
Logging into Shopify
Go to https://bldgplans.ca/admin
Enter your login credentials provided by the administrator.
Once logged in, you'll be directed to the Shopify dashboard.
If you forget your password in the future, you can use the “Forgot your password?” functionality below the login.

Dashboard & Left Hand Menu
Once logged in, you will land on the Dashboard Screen. From here you can see many options in your menu along the left side. The main area that you will use to edit is:

Information
Product information includes:
- Title
- Description
- Media - select multiple images
- Category
- Size Range
- Width
- Bath
- Beds
- Type (# storeys, garage, etc)
- Square FT
Products
Metafields Custom Fields
Access product metafields:
- Select "More actions"
- Select "Edit Custom Fields"
Product metafields includes:
- Square FT - can also be update in product information page
- Bedrooms - can also be update in product information page
- Baths - can also be update in product information page

- Construction Specifications
- Customization
- About Bldg Studio Plans
- Floor Plan - repeat field to add multiple files
- Testimonial - Quote, Person, Image
Products
Variants
- Add variant option
- Select "Create custom option"
- Title the option "Plan"
- Add option values - Starter Package, Construction Drawing Package, Complete Package
- Add price to variant
Access variant metafields:
- Select variant title
- Select "More actions"
- Select "Edit Custom Fields"
Variant metafields includes:
- Content
- Features
- Build Ready - On/Off
Products
Variant Information
- Go to Edit theme > Theme Settings > Product Variants
- Add content for product variants for sections and cart items
Sections:
- Displays on product pages and Product Variants section
- E.g. Senbon and How It Works
Cart Items:
- Displays on Cart Page with related product variant
- Keep content short and 2 sentences at most
- Avoid using lists

Digital Downloads
When Product is created, digital files can be added it it's variants. The digital files are what the customer will receive after purchase.
- Go to Apps > Digital Downloads
- Navigate to product to add digital files
- Select "Add digital files"
- Click "Add files" for each variant or drag and drop file
Note: File limit of 5GB for each variant upload.

Create Post
Create blog post:
- Go to Content > Blog posts
- Select "Add blog post"
Blog post includes:
- Title
- Content
- Excerpt (optional)
- Image
- Visibility - Visible or Hidden
Access blog metafields:
- Select "More actions"
- Select "Edit Custom Fields"
Blog metafields includes:
- Location
- Design
- Photography
- Built
- Gallery (carousel) - add multiple images
- Gallery (grid) - repeater field to add multiple image sizes and images
